Lalla and Tidiane Visit Brandon!

In September of 2008, Mrs. Dicko - Fofana and Mr. Tidiane Fofana;from Kalanso Espace Education in Bamako, Mali; visited Brandon Elementary School in Altanta, Georgia, USA. These Visiting Teachers took part in a 5-week cultural and educational exchange sponsored by their home school and the Visiting Teachers' Programme. As the first "Visiting Teachers" they set the path for future teachers to travel the globe in order to better understand different cultures and educational systems.

During the programme, Mrs. Dicko and Mr. Fofana observed in classrooms to understand an American educational perspective while sharing their prespectives of Malian culture and education. This partnership is valuable for both the Visiting Teachers as well as for the host teachers and students at Brandon Elementary in Atanta.

This is the Zoo Atlanta Website!

This site is filled with wonderful teaching ideas!  Some of the best ideas come from the United Kingdom.  (Look for the UK in the addresss!)

Brain Pop has great little video clips to reinforce concepts for students  You could easily use these as language lessons as well!

This is a silly site with rock songs and lyrics that reinforce school concepts.  Appropriate for the US educational system, but it might have something to help reinforce English language learners using fun songs!
